Hello--note sure if you still check this but Michael Howell was my Great Great Great Grandfather. Would love to know where that picture came from and if you have any more--thanks!
ReplyDeleteMikel Howell was my 5th great uncle, and his brother, Wright Howell, was my 4th great grandfather. You can reach me at WallerFamilyHistory@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely find! And from the above comment, looks like at least a few people are active here. My connection to the Howell family is both legitimate and illegitimate. On the legitimate side, my great-aunt Hattie Odelle Carr married Parker D. Howell, Sr., on the illegitimate side, my Great-great grandmother Anna Warren was one of the illegitimate children of Anthony March Howell by Fannie Warren. Anna appears to have used the Howell surname from time to time, and from court papers and the decade span of time between children, it looks like Anthony and Fannie had a long-term connection. I hope to learn more about the connection between the Howells and my Carr (of Carrsville!) relatives.
